Hey everyone! I hope this doesn't offend anyone, but I'm offering my DVDR 75 Stand alone recorder up for sale on E-Bay!
If your interested, the link is:
http://cgi.ebay.com/ws/eBayISAPI.dll?ViewItem&item=3050955928
If you don't like buying through ebay, let me know. There are no bids on it as of yet, so I'm pretty sure I could remove it if I wanted to.
Thanks for listening/reading

It would be nice to be able to sell personal goods here, as long as it doesn't become a habit. When you regularly have items for sale, then I would think you would qualify as a business and would be in touble. Maybe a seperate forum for such things, then it would be easier to police.
Hope is the trap the world sets for you every night when you go to sleep and the only reason you have to get up in the morning is the hope that this day, things will get better... But they never do, do they? -

I am new here so I will say sorry in advance for voicing my newbie opinion
There should be an allowance for sales in these forums. Perhaps a seperate forum. Heck if we can link to a sale at Best Buy or elsewhere online then why not help a fellow forum member out by allowing them to get ride of a piece of equipment that someone else could use or want.
Maybe the mods/admins could impose a limit on a forum of this type and make it so that only people who have xxxx amount of posts can post in there.....Just a thought -
A word of advice TFARLEY224... Don't use pictures from the manufacturer, many scam artists do this. This may be why you've had no bites on this. Your low feedback rating doesn't help either. Also If I can find that same item online from an actual company for $380. What would make me want to buy it from you? I'm not trying to rag on you, I'm only speaking as a guy who has sold stuff on e-bay for years. Get a real picture of what you have, and start the bidding price a little lower. You'll probably sell it as it is right now, but you'd be surprised at how much more you could make if you do these things. By setting the starting bid at $375 you create a ceiling that people aren't interested in. Let the bidders work for it. Once people put down a substantial bid on an item they do not want to lose it.

During this last 12 - 15 months, I prety soon realize that it was two sites giving me more help/information than other - here, and doom9. I prefer this site though - more friendly/helpful forums (thanks all -and better looking sites ! (Yes, it counts - more readable)
I have maybe not posted that much, but pretty active looking around. Read most of the guides, and reaf forum news almost daily.
What I have missed many, many times is an own forum about buy/sell/trade. During this period I have bought both hardware and several software that I now no longer have any use for. Either finished with the job required, and/or don't meet my need anymore. I'm sure I'm not the only one.
BUT - maybe this stuff would be just what some others need right now ??
Let me give you an example: Last week I bought a Datavideo TBC-1000. As soon as my wallet accepts it, I will also buy a ADVC-100.
I would rather buy that stuff from some on this forum, then from some at ebay, or some company.
I feel that it would be more "safe" in most of the ways to buy/sell within this "community". In that way,
Something to consider ? Or is I the only one that feels this way ?
Comments, please !!! -

Maybe I'm wrong, but I feel like it would be a market for it here. And, I also think that the buyer would get more and better help with the items, and the seller would certainly know a lot more of the product then most of the other places. Ebay or companies or what.
So, not necc. any "stop them coming here" - just that it would be a nice alternative with a lot of well qualified people in the deals.
Just my thoughts. -
Hmm.... I would like that too. But there might be too many problems surrounding this.

Anything that would cause extra confusion is more then likley not worth the hassle. The last thing the mods here need is to be babaysitting making sure that things like the ones I suggested are being followed. However all of that could be avoided if a seperate for was created and only allow access on a member to member basis. That way nebies like me would have to work hard to became eligible for membership in that forum. There are certainly enough people around here that would qualify off the bat and the rest would be a matter of getting to know others. Spotting someone that is a regual and someone who is just trying to ebay off some stuff is easy.
