  1. OK, I just figured I'd take the easy way out and buy Roxio 6 and author DVD's the simple way. The process was very easy. The DVD plays on my computer DVD drive through Intervideo WinDVD. BUT, when I try to play it on my Sony DVP-S360 DVD player in my home theater system, I get a C13:00 error. This time I used -R media.

    Am I missing something?

    Thanks!

Yes, you are missing something "Easy Way". If it doesn't work then it must be to easy. Since I can't read your mind (and I have misplaced my error code book), it's impossible to know what kind of material you are working with to author this DVD that plays in your computer but not in your set-top DVD player. Have you checked the compatibility list for your DVD player to the left? Lastly you will find that Roxio won't be your answer to the easy way out, but maybe that's as far as you want to go?

  3. don't bother with Roxio software. it has all kinds of problems making compliant DVDs. most likely the UDF system is set to something other than 1.02 which is what it needs to be for DVD Video. 1.05 and up are used primarily for computer data storage. 1.02 is the only one that should be compatible with all stand alone players.

  4. Thanks for the replies.

I burned this to TDK -R 2x media. Doesn't work in my machine, but I found several that it worked on in Best Buy. I agree with you about Roxio. It doen't do nearly what I want it to.

I think it's that my 3 year old DVD player doesn't like it.

I'm going back to TMPGEnc to do it right.

    Thanks!
