  1. Hi Everybody (Hi Dr. Nick!)

I am having problems trying to straight burn DVDfiles using Nero 5.5.10.20. If I try and move the files into the VIDEO_TS folder, Nero always tells mes that DVD re-allocation has failed and the resulting disk may be unplayable. I always use IFOEDIT to get VTS_SECTORS and at the moment, I am burning disks by creating an ISO file with IMGTOOL and burning the image with NERO.

Since I convert DVD-9 to 2 x DVDR-5, this means hanging around waiting for IMGTOOL to do its thing for quite a while. I guess I want to know if it's possible to skip this step and let NERO do all the work?

Anyone got any advice for a fellow DVD-R enthusiast?

Do you mean you make a VIDEO_TS folder in Nero
and then move files to it ?

How about making your VIDEO_TS folder containing all
files on the hard disk and then moving that VIDEO_TS
to Nero and burning as if was Data.

Letting Nero "covert" anything at all for you (from Audio to DVD Video) is a BAD idea.

  4. Thanks for the advice guys!

I just burn data disks with NERO and it works a treat (just saved hundreds of hour of my life waiting for IMGTOOL to do its thing while my computer ground to a halt.

    Thanks again.

PS. Alaso appreciate the tip on letting NERO convert MP3 etc. Ta! :P
