i have a dvd that i want to add ac3 to, but i dont want to have to reecode it. so isit possiable to to sort of un-authhuer it so i have a mpeg 2 dvd compable file that i can exstact the from audio and the convert the audio to ac3 then athuer it back together again????

Actually this is an interesting topic. The AC3 has compression as compared to the LPCM that most DVD Authoring tool utilize. I would love to know how to convert it to an AC3 stream. I have been reading the besweat and think this is the avenue to go.

Is it too much to ask for you to use proper grammar? It's hard enough to answer your question when you can't exactly specify what you want, but even worse when I have to decode your cryptic "english". And you can probably find your shift key too if you look hard enough for it (hint: there are two of them).

its still only 2 channels .. just that they will be coming out everywhere -- most receivers do a better job of simulated surround .
