  1. Sorry for the possibly stupid question. All I know about copying a dvd is dvd2one, dvdshrink and dvddecrypter.

I have a dual-layered dvd ripped with dvddecrypter and it seems to have screwed up the ifo files. Whenever I open the ripped dvd using dvdshrink and try it's re-author function, the time jumps all over the place and the last frame is actually somewhere in the middle of the movie. I tried shrinking it and burned it to a dvd-r and it ended up with the same result in my set-top player.

The vob files work fine however. When I open them separately in my computer, everything plays in order and properly. I just get no subtitiles or chapters.

So how can I get some new ifo files to go with the vobs? I tried ifoedit's repair function which said it repaired them, but they were still broken when played in dvdshrink. I also tried it's create new ifo option, but it didn't do anything when I clicked on it.

Any suggestions would be greatly appreciated.

  3. Tmpgenc DVD Author (Free Trial Available). It will import the vob and allow you to make a new menu and chapter points with no re encoding and thus no loss of quality.
