I just got the DAC-100 converter. I have my VCR plugged into the input and the firewire is connected to my G4 dual 450. I can capture live tv perfectly from the connected cable, but when I try to capture a VHS tape it stutters and cuts out. I have tried other tapes, I have tried cleaing the head, but still have problem. Is it just my VCR? Anyone have this same problem?

What condition are the tapes in? If they are not 1st generation tapes, you are most likey experiencing video sync errors. A Time Base Corrector (TBC) should fix your problem.
