Yeah, I saw those. i am thinking about picking some up, but what speed are they ? i don't mind 2.4X but 4X is sooooooo nice!!!!!

They are 2.4x but I can't make out the manufacturer id. It seems that these discs do not have it or philips has chosen not to put it on these discs. See dvdinfo snapshot

The disks do have a manufacturer id...they are CMC...but they are absolutely, hands down..the best media CMC produces. Those Philips disks should be flawless.

Some drives have to have media burned in order to view the manufacturer id. Burn one..then check the id again. It should say 'CMC.'

My bad, Dvdinfo did not display the media id from my Benq dw400a even though the media has already been burned. Dvdinfo hanged when I tried to read from my A05 drive. dvdinfo can only read the media id from my toshiba drive. That' really suck considering my Benq is a newer drive than my Toshiba drive.

Hmmm..... well, i bought 50 from one location and my buddie bought 50 from another location and we are both having the exact same problem with them..... they are CRAP!!!
Kind of funny we would both have the same problem from 2 diff stores, so alot of them must have went out bad..... i'll never buy them again, if i have a problem with a brand once... thats it, & i have yet to have one problem with verbatims.... and we both have 2 diff. burnes each, we both have tried them with each burner and diff. recording programs so it is the disc's.....
