Hey all. I just spent the past few days making a small movie, and to get the widest possibility of play (many of my friend's tv DVD players dont play SVCDs), I'm burning the movie as a VCD.
Thing is, the VCD burns the movie as a .dat file. The movie is only 54MB, so I was wondering if I can throw in a divx version of the movie somewhere on the disk.
Basically, my question is: Can a VCD hold data in addition to the movie? Can I make a folder called "Divx" and like put the divx version there, and still have the VCD work if I pop it in a DVD player?
Thanks!

I saw another post about this and according to it, the answer is yes. Try it and see.

andkiich,
If you look at ULEAD MovieFactory 2, their Finish screen has a choice "Output Advanced Settings". Click on that and it allows you to add a personal folder which can contain any kind of file. -
Very easy with VCDEasy(no pun intended). Just create a folder on your HDD (DivX), put your original divx movie inside.
Start VCDEasy. Top button bar, press the ISO Files button, click Add Folder and select your DivX folder.
As easy as that.
The rest is as usual when authoring a VCD with VCDEasy.
