"rfigley said he had a +r(rw)burner. Therefore
he HAS to use +r(rw) media, because he has to match the media to the format of the burner."
Please excuse my noobness to the whole DVDR scene.I saw this posted somewhere on here and it got me curious. My burner is DVD+R/+RW. I have yet to burn anything so I need to know if I can use +R discs or does it HAVE to be +rw?Thanks.

Either should work okay with your burner. You should never try the -R or -RWs. Also, make sure you have a brand that is known to work with your burner, by checking the database at left, and by doing a search in the Forum.
Hello. -
You can use dvd+r and you can use dvd+rw
dvd+r is a one time format meaning once you burn something onto it, you can not erase it and use it again.
dvd+rw works more like a floppy disk were the data can be writen over with other data. keep in mind with +rw format the data may degrade after a short amount of time making it unreadable.
dvd+r should last for many years.
