my schneider 857 won't play homemade dvd-rs Help!!!

please help...

i have a schneider 857, plays dvdrs i have been given, but i try to play ones i have made myself and they just say "loading..."

i have an optorite dd203 and using ulead to author & then nero 6 to burn..

i have tried various medio, datawrite, bulkpaq all x4 no luck... can anyone give advice as all the dvdrs i make i have to give to people whos players play them...boo hoo!!

take the schneider back and swap it in asdas for a pacific player.
they play -R and +R.
