  3. Ok, I tried that but came up with nothing like what I needed, I tried "Black Border" "Black Borders" "Remove Border" "Remove Borders" "Border" "Borders" "Wide Screen" etc etc, in all different sections, can someone just name a program or 2 that can do it, I could work out the rest probably, just that I cant see in any descriptions which program could do this.

    Thankyou

  4. You'd need to search letterbox(ing) and/or widescreen. Other good keywords would be 16:9 and 4:3. Here's the short ver. If you get rid of the letterboxing you'll eiher have to chop off part of the movie (a little on each side) or everything will be strecthed out.

Assuming you want to do this, we'd need to know the source and programs you plan to use. Here's an outline:

    1) Rip DVD, use DVD2AVI to generate D2V and wav
    2) Run TMPGenc, load template, load D2V and wav
    3) Click on settings, then the advance tab, make sure DAR is set to 4:3 525line NTSC (vs. any 16:9).
    4) Encode

This should center the film on the screen and cut off the edges.

  5. OH YEAH! Choose center instead of full screen keep aspect ratio.
