Father tries to shoot son in the head after football game!

If any post deserves an exclamation point at the end of the title..this one is certainly it. This has to be one of the top 5 craziest things i've heard. Basically, a father who is an Alabama Crimson Tide fan...got pissed after Alabama lost in OverTime to Arkansas on Saturday. He started throwing dishes and slamming doors. That's pretty understandable.....but what he did next was pretty damn hard to believe.

While the father was pissed at the loss...his son asked him for a car. The father got so incensed that he ran out to his car, grabbed his pistol, put his son in a head lock telling him he was going to shoot him. At the last second..the son pulled his head away at the same time the gun was discharged! The bullet whizzed past his ear and..the son ran out of the house to a neighbor's place...where he called the police.

The father's response to all this was that his son had wrecked several cars in the past. That's a nice reason for trying to blow your sons head off...huh? Shit.....anyway..the article doesn't mention it..but I happened to see the Ark/Ala game...and what a game it was. Alabama was at home..had a 2 touchdown lead LATE in the 4th quarter. Only to squander every opportunity to put the game away by fumbling and conservative play calling. Arkansas tied the game....which ulitmately went into a 2nd overtime...where Arkansas finally won.

Alot of people were pissed after that loss...but damn....to grab a loaded gun..put it to your sons head....and worse..if the kid didn't move...he'd almost certainly be dead.....lucky kid....Father should get life...but he's out on bond currently.

It's refreshing to hear that there are other loons out there besides the UT (University of Tennessee for those of you that don't follow U.S. college football) fans.
