I have to reiterate what some said about the time flying by. My girl's in 3rd grade, and these girls are already talking about boyfriends and diets (though, it's never the ones who need them - diets).
Fortunately, my daughter's still into Spongebob and her DS. That's not to say that the boys aren't starting to realize the lie of cooties. Be prepared like I am, and get a shotgun which you can clean on the porch in your rocker whenever the boys (inevitably) come over. :wink:
