    i was wondering has anyone tired those 2x dvd-rs using the sony dru 500a burner?

    these are apparently the illusive maxell crap disks that were supposed to be removed from being able to be sold (as far as i know)

    I wouldnt get them if I were you...

    Can't speak for the Sony burner, but the 2x "Sky" disks they sell have worked flawlessly on my NEC-1300 dual burner and play without problem on my Toshiba free standing unit as well as on my kid's PS2. At $0.58 per they're a bargain.
