I'm a newbie to the wonderful world of DVD and DVD Rip and was wondering whether anyone could tell me whether the Pioneer DV-355 player is capable of playing DVD+R discs. (I've had a look through the forum already and got a tad bit confused as to whether it is or not)
The reason I ask is that I tried burning one the other day (after running a test on a DVD+RW which seemed to work fine in the player) and it didn't want to work at all. The disc in question however does work fine in my PC DVD drive.
The make I used was 'Imatation' and I have no idea whether they are supposed to be good or bad. Maybe I just got unlucky with a bad rip but all my other discs (DVD-R, DVD-RW and DVD+RW) have worked fine (both before and since).
Any thoughts/ideas would be much appreciated.

I did have that DVD player and I believe it only plays DVD-R. Ive made about 50 backups that all worked fine on the DV-355
