  1. Can anyone tell me why the chapter button is greyed out. The preview at the chapter list is also not functioning. What must I do to get it working? Help please

  5. I discovered that the original avi file encoded with divx 5.0 worked!! The chaptering button light up. But when I encoded it with all othet codec e.g divx5.03, dix3, Micorsoft mpeg4... it will not works.I reencode because I want to add a permanent sub file Anyone knows why? Help!!

    If you only have the file loaded, the Chapter button is greyed. Once you go into the Edit menu and select any point beyond the start of the file, the Chapter button is there. Think about it, if you only want to play the full file a Chapter is not necessary it is only required if you want to break that file into chapters. You can't start a Chapter at the beginning of a file.

  7. I did went into the edit menu, pulled the slide to a chapter point but alas, the chapter button still won't worked. It's still greyed

    This may sound silly , but why do you encode to MPEG4
    when you are trying to make a DVD. ?

    Hi,

    after you import the file, you have to drag it into the menu below(play first , or new movie)

    then doubleclick on it to see a preview use the slider to a piont where you want to make a chapter, right button ,and create a chapter.
