  1. IF anyone out there owns or has owned a pioneer A03, could you tell what problems you have had with it in the past and what you did to fix it. Thank you.

    the only problem I had was when I first got it I naturally
    set the IDE to DMA and had lotsa very mysterious problems
    especially with CDs.
    I spent 3 days trying to get help from Pioneer and finally cheated
    by doing it at work and claimng I was with an engineering company
    (true) wanting OEM info (false)
    I finally got hold of a firmware weenie who told me the A03 didn't
    support DMA correctly

    So I set PIO and happy ever since.

  5. WHat does all this stuff mean? IDE, DMA, PIO. PErhaps i have done this accidentally. I still cannot get this damn thing to work. Please advise.
