FPS ... rendering .vob to ffmpegx-divx

i would be interessted how fast the newer g5 (or dual g4s) are.
i have g4 TiBook 667Mhz when i produce a divx with ffmpeg-enc (not mencoder it's slower i think) i've about 15-16 fps (i calculate this manually by using the real!! used time - i think the utime given by ffmpeg is wrong).

please - is nobody with a dual-ppc or g5 using ffmpegx for producing divx out of vob-files?? i can't believe it!! tell me how fast your machine is, i really want to know this! i have a discussion with some friends using windoze on a 2800+ barton-amd - i really wondering what is faster.

Your thinking about mpeg2enc. not ffmpeg. ffmpeg doesn't work as well as mpeg2enc, and I've been doing it for a while.

the name allready says all "mpeg2enc" is only for mpeg2, but i like mpeg4 much more - smaller & better, so i've to use ffmpeg or mencoder (in ffmpegx of cause). original divx-component for quicktime is soooooooo slow!
