I know this question has probably been asked 100's of times, so I don't feel too bad about making it 1001 Anyhow, I currently own a JVC GR-Sxm340. I am very happy with its preformance, considering it's S-VHS-C. I'm not looking to buy one right now, but I will start looking for a new (better) camera around christmas. What I'm looking for is:
    mindv <- a must!
    3-ccd
ability to "adapt" lenses such as a fisheye, wide angle, etc.
Ability to add a "boom microphone"
must have a/v as well as firewire/usb
    mic out
    headphone jack
    under 1000 bucks <- I can dream can't I?
Whew. The reason I'm telling you all what I want is, bc it seems that a lot of you guys know what your talking about. Does anyone know of any camera that fits these specifications?
Also, I have been looking at a few, and I have come accros a JVC that has "progressive scan." From what I have read, someone please correct me if I'm wrong, it is almost as good as having 3 ccd's, but way cheaper.

Well, I know this is a lot of info, but ANY input would be greatly appreciated.

  2. There is one 3CCD camera under $1K that I've seen around the net...found it here:

I don't know about features, but for $800 its a damn cheap 3CCD camera. Personally, thats all I would go for: cheapness and picture quality.
