  1. Hi this is my first ever post so please go easy on me!!

I have been trying unsuccessfully to backup a dvd. first of i don't have the original disk anymore just 2 images of it in CUE/BIN format.

    1.
I decided firstly to see how good quality they were so using ISOBUSTER extracted the MPEGs from the BIN's. They worked great in POWERDVD good quality sound and pic.

    2.
I then though i would burn the images on two separate CDs using Daemon-Tools, these seemed to work fine. but when i tried to play the disks in my standalone there was no sound! none at all, i searched through the whole movie and both disks... no sound . I tried burning the images in Nero 6, and the same no sound!

Thinking the problem may be with CD-Rs i have been trying now, unsuccessfully for about 2 weeks, to burn the two files to DVD-R using my NEC1300a with latest firmware 1.7, i have burned data disks fine.
I have been bouncing round forums for days now about demuxing, muxing, extracting and converting. i have downloading countless trial versions of software and i am almost ready to crack.

PLS ADVISE, i want to use my brand spanking new DVDR for something more entertaining then backup!!

    ANY HELP MUCH APPRECIATED. TA

  4. Right no real helpful repies as yet so could some1 just please look over my method to get a 2 CUE/BIN's on to a DVD-r to play on a standalone.

    1. Extract mpeg2's using ISOBUSTER
    2. DVD2AVI to create .d2v and mpa files (2 of each)
3.Open TMPGEnc and load both files using DVD PAL filter.
    4. Finish up with another MPEG which nero wont burn to DVD???

Are you sure the TMPGenc settings are for a DVD compliant
    MPEG2 ?

Can you play the MPEGs you made in WMP or something ?

Does Nero Author ? I don't even know

You need to Author the MPEG2 files into a VIDEO_TS file set
    or ISO image

  6. Hi thanks for post. like i said i am n00b but i have picked up some stuff from these forums:

the files dont play in WMP (windows media player, yeah?)

do you have any links or info how to make VIDEO_TS from 2 mpegs extraced from 2 cue/bin image files?

    How do i check TMPGenc?

i dont know about nero, i just followed a How-to on burning images back to CD, but i am mostly concerned about the DVDR
