Hi
Another dual-writer on its way from Asus, supporting +R and DVD-R at x8 speed.
Interestingly it seems that DVD-R will support CLV writing, in other words 8 speed from start to end. This will produce faster burns (especially where a disc isn’t being recorded to full) than +R that starts of at x6 speed when using x8 speed media.
Strange this is possible when + fanboys keep telling us that DVD-R can not support higher speeds yet it would appear it will be doing x8 speed faster than +R, funny old game ain’t it.
