I think if you bothered to read back about a week, maybe two weeks, you'd see several threads on this.

  4. u can't drag the bar over 4,3Gb (no F5 function). It doesn't allow you to seperatly adjust each video-it is always trying to fill the 4,3gb bar Is the a setup crack for it out yet?

, alll I'm gonna say is you can quite easily do both, and one problem is very simple as it's actually an option you select within IC 8

where did you get your copy of IC 8?

  6. Sorry, my mistake.
It's working fine. Had the wrong buttons pressed

    Thanks anyway

  7. Just one thing.

Why does the storage meter in IC8, when I uncheck the include dvd-rom content, fill up again(it looked like I included it). When I check it on again nothing is hapening . I have to restart IC8 and leave my fingers from this option to get it right.

    Any ideas

    from the RULES

    Do NOT ask for warez
Asking for warez. In any fashion this is unacceptable including but not limited to PM or e-mail requests or information on what p-2-p network has copies

    you did ask for it

  11. IC8 seems to be faster than IC7 but im not really sure sense on the same day i upped my cpu 500+mhz more. so i dont know if its the cpu or IC8 is a faster or is a combination of both. but if i had to choose between IC7 and IC8 i would choose IC7 cause it's much simpler and less buttons to push...hehe

of course more CPU power would have an effect on the speed

you say it's more buttons to press?, it's the same button presses with IC8 to do what IC7 does. If it does take more presses that's due to IC8 giving you more options with the added features and even then is it that hard to click a button?

I've got a tweak that actually makes IC8 look like IC7 by changing the skin but I'll keep it quiet for now until it's released

I can't see any difference, can you?

  13. IC 8.0 is terrible.

If any of you read my posts earlier about 2 weeks ago you will see the following:

    #1 it's still slow
#2 DVDShrink produces great quality at 3x the speed
#3 IC 8.0 conflicts with certain programs, making it coaster discs with burn errors. I have lost a couple of discs to this.
#4 My Sony 715 player (the newer one) does not fully play IC 8.0 without video glitches. 25% of the movies I produced with IC 8.0 to test had glitches in them. My Apex 1200 player played them with zero errors however.
#5 DVDShrink produces movie backups that play 100% perfectly in my Sony 715 dvd player.

However, I do my TV Episode discs with IC 8.0 because it produces better quality than DVDShrink at 50% compression. If it is a movie, I use DVDShrink. Look for my 2-3 week old posts for more details in this forum topic.

#1 yep, it's slow but that's the way it works, you can make it faster but I can wait
#2 all depends on whether you use the deep analysis with DVDShrink and personal opinion regarding quality as IC produces excellent quality also
#3 easily fixed, so not a major issue just unfortunate
#4 IC title removal has always been no good for fussy players, due to it's methods of removal and certain Sony's are very fussy (that's why I got rid of mine)
    #5 as above

I appreciate your opinion but I don't think the program is terrible at all but maybe that's because it produces excellent results for me even if I did have the hiccup of it upsetting Nero

as soon as it's released, there are tips 'n' tweaks that are going to be released that will make this program quite appealing to some

  15. for movies that around 6 gigs and below i dvd2one to do my transcoding. i just remove any uneccessary audio streams and just leave one there. but if my movies are around 7+ gigs then i use IC8 cause it gives greater quality sense it does more than one pass and thats why it takes longer to finish transcoding than other programs out there. if im wrong someone correct me. on IC8 i kinda like the skin more than on IC7.

I must be daft because I ain't got a clue what you are talking about unless you are taking the piss, which I think you are

regardless, thanks for the informative input

@supersam, it just takes on whatever skin/theme you have at the minute and I cheated a bit as I used the daft kiddie TOON winblinds theme just as an example to show how it takes on the skin of your current Windows theme rather than have the basic default skin

I've asked about giving a simple option of disabling the new skin (along with a few other things) but even if Pinnacle don't support it, it's just a simple mod anyway so at least you can decide

you need to mod something to do it, but for obvious reasons I'm not saying how to do it until it's 'officially' released

I think you mis-understood my post. I was not in anyway asking for this program, I was pointing out that there were too many people posting about it at the time for them to be all "beta" testers! Meaning they were using w***z.

Does anyone know how the upgrade works? In other words, do you have to have the old version installed on your hard drive before the installer will run or anything like that? If so I'll just wait until the full version goes on sale and pick it up for the same price (just like I got IC7 for $30 after rebate).
