I have one of these. I have never been able to produce a quality capture from VHS. Using the same hardware and an ATI AIW 8500 DV, my captures are fine.

The problem I had is that the video produced would start to lose sync partway into the film and continue to degrade from there.

I wish I knew more, but I did not have an enjoyable experience with this card.
