I'm looking to buy a Sony dvd player. I noticed that all of them play dvd+r and dvd+rw. I'm looking for one that is a single disc and plays well. Has anyone had any luck with any? I have a Sony tv and vcr and currently have a jvcsa70bk but it's quite slow and loud. Thanks for any input.

I'm a sony guy too. I have two dvd players. Both have different features. I personally like optical connections so I bought the high end model but for a lower budget try looking for the sony 300series I have the soney 345dp it plays all kinds of media and mp3 files as well that are recorded on a single cdr that about 150 songs imagine. Yup its a good model and its one year old maybe so I'm sure there is a new version maybe a 350
just go to the sony site and look around.....
By the way honestly nothing beats sony dvd players....Think Before You Do It -
Sony DVP-NS715P is a good progressive player that reads both DVD formats just fine.
