Hello everybody!
I'm having some troubles with TMPGEnc.
I have a bunch of 25 fps progressive XviD AVIs that I want to convert to PAL VCDs.
If I just load the XviD into TMPGEnc, and with the wizard set everything in order to have a PAL VCD, the resulting MPEG1 file is jumpy.
The same happens if I try to convert to 1/4 PAL DVD (352x288) or 1/2 PAL DVD (352x576).
The strange thing is that everything is fine it I choose Full DVD (720x576).
On the other hand, if I choose PAL VCD, and check the "Do not frame rate conversion" option in Settings -> Advanced, the resulting MPEG1 file is perfect, but it is slightly longer (about 51 minutes, while the source XviD is about 48 minutes). The only problem is that now audio is out of sync (since audio lasts 48 minutes).
Does anybody know what may be happening? Should I "not frame rate conversion" and then strecth the audio to match the MPEG1 new length? Or is there an unknown (at least to me) option that should be checked?
Thanks for any help.
Byebye,
Massi.
