I have converted a Divx ntsc to pal using DVD2SVCD. I always use this for ripping and converting. But this time the source film if ntsc and I wanted pal so I ticked the appropriate settings and when it all finsihed I played the mpeg file and it was pink then it cleared and it kept doing this all the way through the film.
Can anyone please help.... I'm stumped.

sounds "pretty"..
does the movie play ok before converting ?
are you converting film progressive or film with pulldown added or ntsc interlaced to pal ?
all use a different method and i think you picked the wrong one and added frames which just show as pink .. -
movie plays fine before converting. Not sure about the other things you said, just use the default settings when converting an avi.

I have the same problem after converting an avi to an SVCD compliant mpeg with Tmpeg. I actually had this problem multiple times in the past. I think it was a codec but after uninstalling any I installed myself it continued. I eneded up reinstalling Windows 2k
in a separate partition to keep apps that I d/l just to try from interfering with my video processing as it seems Tmpeg is a bit tempermental.
I recently (& reluctantly) started using that win2k partition for business purposes (b/c I have no more primary partions left). Now I have the same problem again.
There should be a checklist or tutorial on the site about things to do when you get this "pink flashing screen" problem as it seems to be a common one.
