    Hi all,

I live in the UK and have just got a PANASONIC DMR-E80H (Well I am waiting for it to be delivered lol)
I would like to know if I can connect my TV, Video, and sky box to it with Scart leads or do I need S-video leads with audio?
I am getting the UK power supply so I am guessing there will no porblems hooking the unit up. straight out of the box?
It will be able to receive UK TV channels through the Ariel?
Which blank DVDs do you recommend using?
I help at all on the Panasonic DMR-E80H would be helpful.

    Thanks

    Dave

Well a USA model will only record NTSC and will not have SCART connectors.

It does have composite and S-Video connectors.

  6. Well.... It looks like you did not do your homework. Return it or just write off loss. There is nothing you can do about it. At least that is how I understand it.

ok, it looks like I need to get a refund, I should of done some more research in to it.

DOES anyone know if I can get the dvd recorder to view UK channels before I ask for a refund. I thought if I was to use a PAL to NTSC converter, that would enable me to watch UK channels, but it does not look like it.

    Thanks

  11. TV Tuner in US model of DVD Recorder is NTSC, so answer is "NO. You are not going to be able to use US TV Tuner in UK to watch PAL chanels". You can switch chanels on some external device (TV, VCR....) and use convertor to covert from PAL to NTSC and record from External Input. Not from TV Tuner that is in your Recorder.
