Home movies to dvd

I often back up my dvd collection and when burning i use the AUDIO_TS folder and also the VIDEO_TS folder but im new to the home movie side of it .
I use recordnow max do i still burn a data disk with the audio and video ts folders any help please

Im a noob but i think the answer is yes.

to create a home movie dvd you need to get the movie from whatever format it is now to VOB files that live in a VIDEO_TS Folder.

You need to author your home movie so you will get VIDEO_TS with all required files. Empty AUDIO_TS is optional but it is best to include it too since it is part of DVD Video standard.
