Hello!
I bought one dvd-/+ RW from LG (4040b) 2 weeks ago.
I´m using DVD Decrypter v3.1.6.0., DVD2ONE v1.2.3. and CopytoDVD.2.1.5.
I´ve burned 5 movies using those programs and I get in all of them the same problem...
After burning when I put the DVD-r into my leaving room DVD-Player, everything seems to be perfect: the dvd-r it´s automatically recognized and playback it’s automatic. The image it’s perfect, but after some minutes the image reveals some "interferences" like green pixelized lines over the screen (I think they call it “ARTEFACTS”)... I also tried playing it in my pc DVD player and in my ps2 but the "image errors" are in the same place...
The only perfect burning I have made, was with a 1 layer DVD ("Divas las Vegas") decrypting and burning in ISO mode with Dvd decryptor.
I have tried this with Medianca DVD-r 4x, Princo DVR-r 4x and with Sentinel DVD+RW 2,4x.
I think the problem is in DVD2ONE, because when I watch the files from my hard disk, after converting with DVD2ONE, the artefacts are already there!!!
I have a AMD 1,2Ghz, 512RAM, 2 hard drives 40GB each, one DVDplayer (slave) one DVD+/-RW (master), and use WINXP Pro – English version.
Please, someone who uses this burning method can please help me?
I´m using dvdshrink now and the result is perfect. But DVD2ONe is faster...
Thank you very much in advance.
Bruno

How long are these movies in question? And what was the compression % you had to use to shrink them?
Movies that need another of compression tend to show issues with most transcoders, especially is the original was very large, or very long. With some more info we may be able to make a few suggestions. -
The answer is very simple..
If your dvd is bigger then 1 layer you need to compress (or strip anything but the main movie) the dvd. And compressing means you'll loose quality. It never be as good as the origional DVD.
And some programs are fast but have less quality when compressing and some programs are slow and have good quality and some programs are medium speed and have exceptable quality.Greatings,

Bruno, as yf2001usa said, if you want the process to be faster you will have to compromise the quality.
I think DVD Shrink speed/quality ratio is quite good, and if you like the results you should stick with it. -
1st of all thank you very much for your help.
The main reason for my post, is that a friend of mine uses DVD2ONE and he gets no "ARTEFACTS" in his burnings.
When I use DVD2ONE, the image quality is good, but I get a lot of "ARTEFACTS".
Now I have another problem... Copy to DVD only writes at 1x!!! and I did nothing in my pc!!!
This DVD recording world, is very strange.....Guess I'll wait for the next LG firmware update.

I used DVD2ONE 123. But I also tried older versions and the result is always the same... lots of "Artefacts". I haven´t tried the new version yet.
Everybody says it's very strange...
When I bought my dvd+/-rw and noticed the Artefacts problem, I even formated my hd, and installed windows xp again, and the result was the same.
