Astrum!

I have a DVD Drive but i'll be getting a DVD Burner after 2 months.
My friend got some DVDs that i want to RIP and store in my HD.. i'll be using DVD Decrypter for that.. just storing the VOB & IFO files from the DVD onto my HD till i can get the DVD Burner.. is that ok? Any glitches? Will it be possible to burn it back into a DVD as it is when i get my DVD Burner?

Now sometimes along the way if i feel like creating a VCD temporarily.. how will i do that.. from the VOB/IFO files i mean?
