I was going to buy these today just to try them out. The 1x GQ's worked fine months ago, but they are advertising these now, so I will let you guys know the DVDInfo on them and how they work with my sony dru500a.

By the way I have now fried 3 Asus p4p800 deluxe motherboards, and will be purchasing an Intel board instead. Anyone else have experience with this asus board?

I bought these. I used up the whole pack, and not one turned out to be a coaster. So far they all seem to work great, and they were viewed on about 8 or 9 standalone DVD players and they worked on all of them. I don't know how they will work as far as LONG term, but I'm assuming as long as they're taken care of, they should last a long time.

I purchased several spindles of the GQ CD's. At first I thought they were great. No coasters, no bad burns, etc. I used them to make SVCD slideshows for my business.

However, after awhile I noticed some artifacting. Went back and checked some of the old test CD's I had made and and they also had artifacts. I replaced the bad CD's with Fuji media, and no problems many months later. Conclusion: They work great at first, but deteriorate with use/time. Media code for CD's is LEAD DATA.

Now the DVD media may ba another story altogether, but once bitten, twice shy.
