Encoding with tmpgenc, you basically choose a file, and a template. Does the order in which you do these 2 steps matter? I've heard it does.

If I load the file first, then the template, the template seems to adjust things like source aspect and output aspect.

If I load the template first, then a file, the aspects (and I think some other settings) seem to reflect the file.

I've been loading the file first, then the template, making some tweaks from there.

Side question: does anyone know how to set the motion search inside templates to High Quality? I've tried, and it keeps defaulting to Normal. I *really* hate encoding something only to realize I forgot to set it to high quality and have to do it over again.

Edit: What a maroon, never even thought to click on the Save button to save my own template, doh!
