TGA files to DVD Mpeg2

Does anyone know of a program that will convert a batch of TGA files to DVD Mpeg2. I know Premiere converts them but only to AVI as Premiere will not out put to Mpeg2. If i save as a AVI the goto Mpeg the result is bad. I would like to go stright from TGA to DVD Mpeg2. Thanks in advance.

If you want all tga as one mpeg2 file name all tga files as file001.tga file002.tga and so and select under enviromenal settings->open sequence files as movie.

Or use premiere with a mpeg2 plugin or frameserve to tmpgenc or another mpeg encoder.

I fail to understand why making an uncompressed AVI and then encoding
is any different from any other method as far as quality goes.

You cannot do the formula below. It only excepts AVI sequence

It works fine with jpg...so I think it should work with tga also.

it (tmpgenc) DOES work fine with targa's --- you can also do it easy enough with Vegas or ANY encoder by loading targas into v-dub mod or v-dub mpeg2/ac3 mod and frame serving (works great -- i do it all the time to frame serve to main concept) ...
