I am asking this question as I have a dvd that is 'all ntsc' and plays in my xbox which is pal. Can you guys please tell me if they can play in any dvd player or do I need to buy a region free player. Thanks in advance.

PAL/NTSC and regions are unrelated. My standalone is region free, but has a hard time playing NTSC format DVD (It plays them jerky like).
No matter what TV system used on a DVD, it can have any (or none) region protection code.

Hi,
I have a question. My dvd video plays on the toshiba sd21900 but not on the Philips dvdr75 or sampo players. It is NTSC and I thought all NTSC dvd videos play in all ntsc players -
