  1. Hi. I recently did an english project, which involved me making a 10 minute movie as an alternate ending to a novel.

I put alot of time and effort into filming (with dv camera) and editing in adobe premiere 6.5

I then put it on a vcd.

a few months later, I got a DVD burner (LG 4040B) and I want to put it on DVD-R.

But I dont know how. I try using their built in stuff to make a DVD file. And it created some m2v or something that NERO did not recognize.

What is the EASIEST way to export from Premiere to DVD-R? I would prefer to not have to make too many files because I am low on HD space (7 GB) and I want good quality without having to re-encode stuff.

You need a DVD Authoring software to put those M2V and wav files in a format that a DVD player can read.

I recomend you try DVD-Lab, they have a 30 day trial and it is full functional. It will easily accept those files, and will let you author a nice dvd. After you compile the dvd, it will create VIDEO_TS and AUDIO_TS folders. Use Nero to burn those folders.
Got my retirement plans all set. Looks like I only have to work another 5 years after I die........

  3. You should be able to run the mv2 (Mpeg 2) through IFOEDIT to create your VIDEO_TS file. You can then drop these files into Nero. From there you can burn your DVD.
