  1. Hi. Is it possible to take a DIVX movie with AC3 encoding, and convert it to a DVD keeping the AC3 surround sound? I have both platforms (Mac and PC). Thank you.

    sure is.

    Use ffmpegX and use the DVD preset and setup the framerate to match your source.

    under the audio tab, select PASSTHROUGH as the audio codec. This will encode the video and leave the audio unchanged and mux the resulting m2v file with the ac3 from your Divx.
