First my system:
Shuttle XPC SN41G2
AMD Barton XP2500+
512MB PC3200 Ram
SB Live!Value
ATI 8500DV AIW
Output to Toshiba HDTV using ATI Component connector
Input Composite or SVideo depending on source
Problem: Every so often when capturing I notice green lines in the captured files. If I use the ATI software, it starts as soon as I've finished a single capture (first capture is fine). For Virtualdub I can usually capture for quite some time before I see it.
If the problem is occurring, using virtualdubs historgram I can see a single steady single in Green only.
I've looked every where online to figure out what causes this, but have not been able to figure it out. It is source independent, so I'm wondering if there is an issue with the card.
The only way to remove the signal is to reboot the machine.
Has anyone ever run into anything like this or heard about anything like this? I've had the video card for about a year in another computer, and never had this problem. Its only cropped up since I've build my new "PVR" system for my HDTV.
