    I was trying to open a complete Divx file, and i get an error saying couldnt locate decompressor for format "DX50" uknown.
    Virtual Dub Requires a video for windows (VFW) Compatible codec to decompress the video. directshowcodecs..
    I have Dr Divx installed, divx 5 is installed. xvid is also installed and fddshow is installed too. what is the problem.

    try installing ffdshow - it handles dx50 well (for me anyway)
