I recently bought a Hauppauge WinTVGo capture card on a trial basis to see if it was the card for me. After installing their drivers then the bt wdm drivers for the higher resolution capturing I tried captureing for fun. I soon realized that i was dropping a lot of frames, so i closed all my excessive programs and tried it again. No big improvement. I then went to my bios and started changing my pc latency to 16,32,64, and 96. 32 and 64 were the best ones, but I was still losing about 10 fps. I then decided to defrag, but then backed out and decided to format the entire drive. I set my stripe to 64, it was previously at 32. I made 3 partitions, 1 for win me, 1 for win xp, and one for captureing with the cluster at 32 and it was previously at 16. i installed the drivers once more, and opened up virtualdub build 14729. I then tried captureing uncompressed at 720x480x24 and i still lost frames. Approx ~ 9-11fps. I tried it at a lower resolution of 640x480x16 and i lost no frames. but at 24 i do. I also tried the benchmark for virtualdub and it says i dont drop any frames. So i come here for you alls help. Ive read the forums for the last couple of days hopin to find my problem, but i have had no luck. so if anyone can help me out, i will really appreciate.

  4. I have had the same problem except my HDD were on a Promise TX2 133. If I take my HDD off the card it will capture fine, but the TX2 seems to slow down the HDD transfer rate... dunno why...
