    I have just got the newest version of Nero (6.6.0.6) and have noticed that I cannot produce DVD-VIDEO's with it.

    When I select the SmartStart option the Create DVD-VIDEO option is shaded grey and cannot be selected.

    On my previous version of Nero (6.6.0.0) I could produce DVD-VIDEO's.

    Does anyone know what the problem is???

    You need to get Nero's mpeg encoder package. It's separate from other stuff. I forget exactly what it's called though. It should be free, if you have a vaild serial no.

    Yes it is seeing my burner, I can even copy DVD's but can't produce them if you know what I mean.

    yep known issue. I've heard several people complain about it. I switched back to version 6.6.0.1 I think.

    In answer to Leebo: yes I have the DVD pull down tab selected.

    And in response to edDV I have tried what you said and I can create DVD-VIDEOS from here.


    But why can't I select it from StartSmart????????????????

    Yeah, I think your right, I just couldn't work out why I couldn't produce a DVD-VIDEO file with a later version of Nero.
