Liteon Divx LVD-2001 problem

I just bought this player today. It won't play any of the 3.11 divx, is there an upgrade for this? I saw the firmware update at their site, is it up to date? and what are the new features on it?

The real problem is, theres cropping when I play movies. For instance, I was playing T3 telecine, im watching the beginning credits, and on the left side, its cropped, so that you can't even see the whole names of the credit. I look at the same scenes on my PC and its all there. What's up with that?? Why is it cropping it for? I tried all the modes. 4:3 Pan Scan, 4:3 letterbox and 16:9. same thing on all. Pal and NTSC

theres more problems now. I tried watching Terminator 2 ultimate edition, and it has the black borders on the top and bottom like its supposed to but, also theres a lighter black that looks greyish/charcoal under the black boarders on the top and the bottom, but more visible on the top. why is this? and also when im playing cretain divx movies, it looks stretcheched. im watching 1.85.1 movies and they look stretched on top and bottom. I tried all the modes on these movies too. 4:3 pan scan 4:3 letterbox and 16:9. any suggestions?
