  1. Isobusted an vcd.iso file to my hd and it producted the ext, mpegav, segment, vcd directories.

Why?? I burned the iso with nero, tested the vcd disc with videolan, and it won't play.

So, I test the .dat file on the hd with videolan and it plays perfect. Now I want to burn the vcd image to a cd.

Can't think of what to use. What program can I use??

    TIA.

  2. Firstly, don't make ISO images of VCDs. I don't know if there is a hard and fast specification on the "ISO" format, but many burning programs only understand ISO insofar as a single data track. This is insufficient for a VCD.

If you have to use Nero, make an image of the VCD using Nero's proprietary format (NRG). You can then burn this image onto any number of CDs (again, using Nero).

  3. Sorry, maybe i wasn't clear. I didn't create the iso file. I got it from the usenet. So forget all i have written.

I managed to convert .dat to mpg via isobuster instructions. Thanks dvdrhelp.

With the mpg file, i am now creating a vcd with vcdeasy. As a mentioned before, the iso image contained: ext, mpegav, segment, vcd directories.
But with vcdeasy, there is a cdda folder/directory. I'm thinking that whoever created the iso file, created a non-compliant vcd.

    What is the cdda folder??

    TIA.
