Hi there does anyone know where I can find a Patch to get rid of Macrovision on my All In Wonder 9000pro video card. I found one patch out there that is supposed to work with ATI Cards, but it did nothing![]()

If you are talking about recording from Macrovision source, even
if you get the patch to enable recording, you are still screwed
because that just fixed the Multiple HSYNC pulse problem,
It did not fix th AGC problem so your capture will cycle from light
to dark slowly.
You need an external thingie -
The patch that is around worked on MMC 7. MMC 8 is completely redone and I don't think there is a patch.
I have the SIMA CCS and it works on some VHS tapes and not others. It completely eliminates the darken/lighten effect and it stops MMC 8 from telling me it has detected Macrovison and will stop recording but on some tapes it makes the picture jump up and down a bit. This makes the video unsuitable for watching and causes dropped frames galore. This doesn't happen on all tapes so the SIMA CCS is better than nothing but I think the signal should have all macrovision removed AND be solid.
Has anyone tried other boxes? Can you say that they pass the signal through perfectly minus macrovision?
