Just recently my drive is acting weird. When I play a DVD in the drive it plays at like double the speed and jumps. When the disc spins up it sounds very rough. I am wondering if the drive is dead or dieing. My NEC-1100A plays back fine. So I know it is not a software issue. I don't think drivers are the problem either. It sounds more physical, which sucks since I bought my computer in January and it is dead already.
Is there any thoughts on what might be going on?
Thanks
