I have compiled a DVD which I wish to watch on my standalone DVD player. I have used DVD decrypter to rip the chapters I want to include on my dvd, and have converted and authored the VOB files to .M2V & WAV using TPMGEnc.

The DVD plays fine when viewed through Power DVD, however when I watch it on the standalone there is a lot of flicker, movement is also very jittery. According to DVD decrypter the original DVD has a bitrate of 5000, which I emulated when converting. The disk is an NTSC one, my DVD player is multiregion. I am burning using Nero in UDF mode. Does anyone have any ideas how I can correct this problem?

  2. I don't use TPMGEnc but,it sounds like a field order issue. I thought PowerDVD would have shown that...hmm.

    Anyway.

In TPMGEnc there should be a setting for field order. Whatever you have it set to try the opposite.
Don't give in to DVD2ONE, that leads to the dark side.

    Hi,

I tried what you said and it didnt make any difference, movement still was not smooth and appeared to flicker when played through my DVD player. I was expecting the quality to be the same as that of the source, however this is very poor
