  1. l am having major problems with SVCD2DVD which l purchased yesterday, l donated & downloaded as per instructions, put the xml file into the SVCD2DVD folder, ran the program and at start up the program went to autoupdate but wouldn't connect, so l clicked the manual update as suggested & downloaded alll the files in the update folder. Ran SVCD2DVD again & the damn thing still wants to autoupdate, so l uninstalled & rebooted, re-installed & still wouldn't update...so did the manual again, guess what!!......still wanted to autoupdate on start up......so ran the SVCD2DVDMPG+ file downloaded from the updates folder.......it ran......try to update from there....same prob, so thought bugger it.....at least l could use SVCD2DVDMPG+ instead.......NOPE!!, selected the folders, adddded the files to be convertered, couldn't make any additional menu structure because the menu files weren't found or available on the website, so forgot about that.....pressed start, my CPU went upto 100% usage acommand box opened with mp2enc.exe running but blank, log said resampling from 44,1 to 48 KHz, checked the output directory.....two files created.....a wav file of 4k & a mpa file of 0k........CPU still running @ 100% & nothing else....HELP !!!!!!!!!!!!!!

ps....l have screen captures of some weird website that the update tried to connect plus screencaptures of a Getmanifest window which also appeared if you need the as well as the saved html.

  2. Hey,

Tip 1: cloud please use some spaces between the different problems.. I'm having a hard time reading what your problems now.

Tip 2: I don't know about the auto update problem cause i just leave on autoupdate all the time.

Tip 3: Search this part of the forum for a link to the menu files for the old one. Cause you can't find it on the site.

Tip 4: About you converting problems with svcd2dvdmpg+ it can be caused by different reasons:
    - you haven't installed the program properly
    - your input mpgs have troubles. They are bigger then 2 GB, there audio isn't 44.1 khz or the mpg isn't completly there. (And don't tell it is cause it plays on you computer but try to demux and mux it again with tmpgenc and see what it does then).

Tip 5: Try to post as much technical information about your input mpg and the version you are using when you post a problem. Also screen dumps and log files might give us some clue how to help you.

    Greatings,
    Yf

ok. this issue is due to the fact that the auto update is not working for you. Therefore you have to do things manually. In order to avoid confusion i have just release some changes to my website which may ease things.

    1. just uninstall svcd2dvd v1.5 (it sounds as though you have bits from 2 different versions in there)

    2. Install it. Sort out the reg file.

    3. Goto the update area on the web site & log in.

    4. You'll notice the top area is for SVCD2DVDMPG+ v1.1 and the lower area is for SVCD2DVD v1.5

    5. In SVCD2DVD v1.5 bit you can download it or go to the Update area for that product - This is where you want to be.

    6. Once in the Update area for SVCD2DVD v1.5, download & unzip the updates to your SVCD2DVD folder.

    7. Run the app & enjoy.
    SVCD2DVD v2.5, AVI/MPEG/HDTV/AviSynth/h264->DVD, PAL->NTSC conversion.
