First - I apologize for the long post - but the information is necessary to understand the problem. Second - thanks in advance if you can help. It would be greatly appreciated.

I have used several different programs and scenarios to capture and author a disc and everytime the video/audio sync starts to degrade after 9 minutes. The captured video does not have this problem, only the final authored DVD.

In case it helps my system is:

Windows XP Pro SP1
AMD Athlon XP 1600+ (1.40 GHz)
512 meg DDR/266
KVS Capture Card (using S-Video and Composite Audio from JVC Digital VCR.

I have tried capturing with Power Director Pro 2.5 and PowerVCR II 3.0
Both programs produce a quality video with sync in place. I have tried multiple bit rates from 3000 to 6000.

I have tried authoring with TMPGEnc DVD Author 1.5, DVDit LE 2.5, and Power Director Pro 2.5.

I've tried burning the disc with TMPGEnc DVD Author, Power Director Pro, and Nero.

Each time regardless of scenario, bitrate, etc... At the 9 Minute mark the video starts lagging behind the audio.

I've even tried re-encoding the video using TMPGEnc Plus, but the same problem occurs. Good video in, bad video out.

I also upped my pagesys file to 4000/4096 max hoping it may be a local caching problem. No Dice.

Anyone have any ideas? I am truly at wit's end.

Thanks - T
