I have about 7 hours of some old footage from old vhs..copy of a copy..I have it all imported into I movie and I would like to fit it all on one DVD. the quality does not have to be that good (crappy to begin with) and the audio is just as bad(mono). Of course if i want to use idvd3 it will not allow more than 1.5 hours. how else can I do this? I want to be able to play in normal DVD player....
I would also be wiling to seperate into 2 dvd's
    I have os x
    Toast
    ffmpegX
    imovie
    idvd
I am not willing to purchase software as of now

    thanks guys!

well..lol... I have virtual pc on my mac running XP...
I probably could do "some work" but would be ~700mhz slow..maybe faster becasue of how the threading works on the dual processor mac.

do you have a simple solution for the PC route??

  4. This is good. All you need is TMPGEnc for the encoding and some authoring program.

what you do is load your file into TMPGEnc and get the half-D1 KDVD template from KVCD.net. Encode then encode your audio to AC3 like 128kbps then author using DVDLab or TMPGEnc DVD Author

I am moving this simply because there is a MUCH easier way than working in VPC for this poster. Off to the mac forum for you!

You will get more Mac help in this forum. A waste of time to run PC apps in VPC to solve this....

because of the length I think its best to split this over 2 dvd's.
I have a link on my website for iDVD over 90 min projects, that may offer some help.

    Check it out.
