  1. Hi peeps,

I have a couple of newbie questions. I have a couple of Mpeg2 files that I want to burn to a DVD disc to watch on my stand alone DVD player, can I burn it as DVD or does it have to be SVCD? I dont care about chapters, slideshow or any of that extra stuff. I just want to be able to watch my vids on my DVD player. Is that possible?

    Thx

  2. Get tmpgenc dvd author load in the files. Click create and then burn with nero. That is the most simple method.

  3. Actually one step simpler,
Do as sugested with tmpgenc dvd author, just open the file and click create, and then use tmpgenc dvd author to also burn the disk. Just show it where it created the DVD folder and files. No settings to worry about to get it right, with my -r burner never had a problem so far.

Provided your mp2 files are compliant (maybe even if they aren't) and less than a full disk (4.7 gig) it's that easy.

Only thing I noticed not quite right is the percent and graphic bar show like 90% done right away when burning, but if you look at the secters written/total sectors you will see your only like 1/4 burned. Doesn't matter, still works great, but you wonder the first time you burn with it why it wrote 90% in 5 minutes but the last 10% takes 50
I was burning 1x disks of course.

Very good program and easy to use. And as long as your at it only takes a second or two to go into edit file and choose to auto set chapter points by time, like every 5 or 10 minutes, and set menu to just play movie when disk is inserted. I like to do that myself for fast forwarding, skip 10 minutes at a time instead of using the DVD players 20x speed.
Don't have to do it of course, but I find it handy myself at times.
