My 80 min video splited by 2

Hello there !
Yes,i got 80 min DivX avi file wich i was converting to SVCD folowing LeeBear guide with DVD2SVCD.
The movie is 80 minutes and in options i set 800 MB cds so it shouldn't split it.
As much as i understand its still splited it by 796 MB...
I have part 1 = 796 and part 2 = 694
wWen i saw , that 40 MIN mpeg file is 796 MB its get me confused...then i looked to the source file and noticed that its 1.2 GB.
The file became that big probably after iam decompressing audio and save it as AVI.

But i still don't understand why DVD2SVCD splited the movie......
After DVD2SVCD extracted audio i cheked the size of the wav and mp2 files they wasn't more than 100 MB...

First of all i had to resave avi with decompress becouse it was VBR encoded audio.So according to LeeBears guide i had to decompress it for avoid sync loss...

To avoid this 1.2 MB file ,i just need to load the sorce to DVD2SVCD and start to encode,but iam afraid of sync loss....
is there any way around it?

Is your problem the fact that 80 minutes of video takes up 2 CD's? SVCD-mpegs take up much more space than Divx files. At most an SVCD should not hold more than about 50 minutes, but it depends on the bitrate selected. Lowering the bitrate to get 80 minutes on one SVCD will give terrible quality so live with the two CD's.

Its all right,but the thing is,that if i ignore VBR error msg when open source in VDub and insert that source to DVD2SVCD and encode it with same settings ,so i do have one file that fits the 80 mins Cd...but iam afraid i going to loose Sync,becouse i didn't decompress the audio...
